This beautiful quilt made in Kentucky in the 1860s or 1870s has seen enough use that the appliqued red flowers are wearing through, showing the white cotton background beneath. To maintain the original integrity of this heirloom, a fine net/tulle was tacked over the worn flowers to stabilize them.
